By engaging John McCarthy & Associates on your project we will add value in terms of cost and value optimisation. On behalf of clients obtaining mortgages for their house build or extension we are qualified to complete self build costing documentation for all the major Banking Institutions including AIB Bank, Bank of Ireland, EBS Building Society, etc.
We produce a detailed cost plan from architect’s drawings and the client’s requirements so as to provide an accurate budget. Such a cost plan produced by a Chartered Quantity Surveyor will also be beneficial if you are applying for a bank loan to finance your project.
We produce a pricing document which will be used by all tendering contractors so as to ensure that quotations are on a like-for-like basis. We will also provide a report on all tenders received and advise which tender represents the best value for money.
Once the project commences we can monitor ongoing constructions costs, agree interim payments with the contractor and value any instructed variations. As part of that service we would also negotiate a final account on the client’s behalf with the contractor.
